Entrepreneurship Club (eCLUB) is an interdisciplinary group open to all Undergraduate, Graduate, and Post Doc students, striving to connect entrepreneurial students from all different areas of study. The goal of eCLUB is to expose individuals to entrepreneurship on campus and provide new entrepreneurs with the space and necessary resources in order for them to make their ideas a reality.
Three pillars of eCLUB:
- Developing a strong network of student entrepreneurs and business enthusiasts
- Spreading entrepreneurial culture
- Providing peer coaching and mentorship
Meet the eCLUB Team
Alex is in her 4th year of her undergraduate studies and will graduate with her Bachelor of Commerce in April 2017. In the past three years, Alex has proven herself to be a successful student entrepreneur. She has owned a residential home maintenance company, managing 30+ employees and overseeing more than 700 jobs to completion. When she's not at school, she can be found spending time outdoors, hiking, running, travelling and pursuing new possibilities. She is most passionate about leadership and coaching and is excited for the opportunity to lead eCLUB and continue to refine those skills
Akash is a 3rd year Chemical Engineering Student at the University of Alberta. He was born in India, brought up in Kuwait, and is now proudly Canadian. Since a young age, he have been deeply passionate about entrepreneurship and business. Akash has attended Harvard University, project managed several construction sites, and cofounded two companies. In 2013, he was one of the sixty students chosen from across the globe to partake in Wharton's prestigious Leadership in the Business World Summer Program. Growing up in his hometown, Fort McMurray, helped him realize the opportunities that exist in the fairly young Heavy Oil Industry and engineering. By using his entrepreneurial mindset in his engineering positions, Akash has been able to have a strong impact on a world leading energy company.
Elena is a 4th-year business student, majoring in entrepreneurship. She has worked with several enterprises as a consultant: tackling everything from strategic direction and brand development, to marketing strategies, logistics management and project management. Currently an owner of a franchise, she is excited to be a part of the entrepreneurial family on campus. Elena truly believes in encouraging fellow students to embark on the exciting journey of entrepreneurship and is looking forward to working alongside eCLUB in the coming year.
