About VR Cave:

vrCAVE creates virtual reality experiences for businesses. Their latest release is a virtual escape room called Space Station Tiberia. Traditional escape room businesses can license the software and run a VR escape room in their business. They also have a virtual reality haunted house called Hospital of Horror. Entrepreneurs can open this pop up haunted house for a licensing fee each fall for the Halloween season.

Join us for the 2016 fall edition of SPARK! 

Spark is the ideal opportunity to pitch an idea to your peers in a supportive environment. 

If you are a U of A student from ANY discipline we want you! The Spark Pitch contest invites and welcomes all students from all faculties to join us. Enter to take your first step towards transforming your great ideas into exciting projects. Spark invites students to share startup ideas via a 3 minute pitch.

Special guests in attendance - your pitch might gain traction this night!

Event Schedule

3:00PM - 4:30PM: PRE SPARK

Join us for some eats from La Pasta and some speed networking with the folks who didn't make it into the main event. USeed will be in attendance, presenting what they have to offer to eHUB members.

5:00PM: SPARK 1st Round (Amateur)

Pitches will begin 5PM SHARP. Please arrive early to get a seat.

5:30PM: INTERMISSION

Next 36 will be in attendance to share some great opportunities with the students at eHUB. Your ticket $$ will be put into a 50/50 draw; the winner will be announced at half time.

He got started on the Net before there was a web browser, founded a couple of technology startups, led eBay’s Platform Solutions Group in Europe, launched a consulting firm helping entrepreneurs with their strategy & operations, invested into early-stage tech startups, led Mozilla’s Innovation Lab, created Mozilla’s accelerator program WebFWD, headed up Mozilla’s Office of the Chair and has invested into social impact organizations around the globe at Google.org. He also founded the non-profit organizations Mentor for Good and The Coaching Fellowship; the “GyShiDo” (Get Your S%#& Done) movement and publishes the opinionated newsletter, “The Heretic”, which is read by ten of thousands of entrepreneurs around the globe.

Our second speaker, Alex Umnikov, Senior Director, Innovation Council with the Government of Alberta will then provide us with insights into how government is responding to these changes and its role in the innovation eco-system.

UAlberta was invited to host another international Lab—a German led initiative that showcases the quality, passion and talent of outstanding Next Gen innovators.
